PREP VOLLEYBALL: Timberlake sweeps Sparts

SPIRIT LAKE — Jacquelyn Mallet totaled nine kills and two aces, and Shelbee Hester added three aces as the Timberlake Tigers swept the visiting Priest River Spartans 25-11, 25-6, 25-22 in Intermountain League volleyball Thursday.
 
Timberlake (16-7, 3-0 IML) plays host to Bonners Ferry on Tuesday.
Catherine Gamma had 27 digs, Emilee Clark five blocks for Priest River.

COEUR d’ALENE — Rebekah Zufelt had five kills, 13 digs and 21 assists as the Timberwolves beat the Bears 25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18 in a nonleague match.
Ashley Kauffman had 12 kills, 13 digs and three aces, Nina Carlson 11 kills, Klaire Mitchell three kills, 12 digs, three aces and 22 assists, CC Cates 21 digs and Tatumn Gould 23 digs for Lake City (17-2), which travels to Lewiston on Tuesday.

RATHDRUM — Mattisyn Cope had 11 kills and four aces, and Lexi Black added 10 kills and four aces as the Hawks beat the visiting Wildcats 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 25-10 in nonleague play.
Brooke Mayberry added 25 assists and three aces for Lakeland (5-9), which plays host to Ferris on Saturday.
“We served consistently tonight,” Lakeland coach Kylee Garitone said. “We passed well, which finally allowed our hitters more opportunities to swing at the ball.”
Jasmin James had six kills and 13 digs for Kellogg, and Marley Chambers had 16 assists.

WALLACE — Stephanie Kociela had 15 kills and 12 digs to lead the Panthers to a 22-25, 25-19, 15-25, 27-25, 15-9 nonleague win against the Miners.
“We finally overcame some adversity and came back and found a way to win,” Charter coach Ian Kelsey said.
Madi Aittama had six kills and 11 digs and Nicole Young had five kills, six digs and two aces for Coeur d’Alene Charter (2-3), which competes in a Central Idaho League tri-match against Grangeville and Orofino on Saturday in St. Maries.

PLUMMER — Talia Hendrickx had 30 digs, 33 assists, three aces and three kills for the Knights in a 25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 25-22 North Star League loss to the Wampus Cats.
“It was a hard loss and serving was an issue for us tonight,” Lakeside co-coach Karyn Stockdale said.
Te’a Lambert had six kills, three digs and one ace and Cailyn Dohrman had 12 kills, seven blocks and four digs for Lakeside (3-6, 2-3 NSL), which faces Genesis Prep on Saturday at Post Falls Middle School.

HARRISON FLATS — Kaili Gentry nine kills, three blocks and seven digs to lead the Warriors past the Tigers 25-15, 25-6, 25-9 in a North Star League match.

Madison Napierala had two kills, Paxton Dotson 11 assists and five digs and Allison Short two kills for Kootenai (6-4, 4-2 NSL), which travels to Mullan on Tuesday.
