Soccer roundup: Eystad nets four goals for Stillwater Christian

HELENA — Hansen Eystad, a sophomore forward, scored two goals in each half to power Stillwater Christian School to an 8-0 victory over Helena Christian School on Friday in boys Montana Christian Athletic Association soccer play.

Both his scores were back-to-back and quick strikes.

“He was a scoring machine today,” Stillwater coach Ryan O’Rourke said.

“He had a good game.”

Dane LaVigne, Micah Friesen, Jesse Willis and Isaac Neumann had one goal each.

BJ Bach assisted on three scores.

“BJ had a solid game at midfield, Dane as well,” O’Rourke said. “Both were feeding Hansen.”

Stillwater (6-3 overall and league) faces Heritage Christian School from Bozeman today 10 a.m. in Helena.

Bonners Ferry 2, Libby 1

BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — Bonners Ferry scored twice in the first seven minutes and held on to beat Libby in a nonconference match.

The Loggers answered the home team’s hot start with an Allie Coldwell goal in the 30th minute. Shae Munro was credited with the assist.

Jill Alexander and Abby Davis scored the Badgers’ goals.

Shannon Reny made four saves for Libby in a losing effort.
