A Kalispell man died at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Farm-to-Market Road Sunday evening.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department, Montie Reynolds, 50, died when the motorcycle he was driving crashed shortly after 8 p.m. The Associated Press reported that Reynolds was thrown into the westbound lane with non-fatal injuries after rear-ending a sport utility vehicle that braked suddenly to avoid a deer. Twenty or 30 seconds later, Reynolds was hit by a westbound pickup truck.

The Montana Highway Patrol was still investigating the the crash as of Tuesday afternoon.
