NIC GOLF: Card women second, men third

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Nicole Miller shot a 85-82—167 to finish third in the season-opening Centralia Invitational at Capital City Golf Course, helping the North Idaho College women’s golf team to a runner-up finish.
Former Lakeland High standout Haley Rotchford was sixth with an 85-86—171 for Spokane, which finished third. Another Lakeland grad at CCS, Megan Cysewski, finished 12th at 93-90—183.
Luke Logan and Braydon Swapp finished with identical 75-74—149 rounds for the NIC men, which finished third.
Eddie Abellar of Bellevue was the men’s medalist with a 73-72—145. Meg McMullen of Bellevue won the women’s medalist with an 83-79—162.
NIC competes in the Montana State-Billings Invitational on Oct. 8-9.
