Troy’s Sean Opland ran for three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to bring home a victory from Friday night’s game in Florence.
Florence took the lead with 16 points in the first quarter, never letting Troy get closer than 12 points in the contest. Florence quarterback Braxton McCullough threw two touchdown passes in the game on 28-for-48 passing. Bo Zeiler caught 11 of McCullough’s passes for 152 yards and one touchdown. Shea Miller hauled in seven for 62 yards.
Opland was the only Troy player to make the scoreboard, with all three point-after attempts missing on his rushing touchdowns.
Next up for Troy is their homecoming game, a first-ever matchup with in-county rival Libby. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
The Trojans are 0-4, with four games remaining in the season.
