Bernice was born June 23, 1923, in Detroit, Mich., to William and Lucille Borkowski. She passed away Sept. 9, 2015, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Bernice married Leslie A. Loy on Dec. 31, 1941, in Palo Alto, Calif. Her greatest joy was traveling the country with her husband. She celebrated life with her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and a very special, great-grandchild. She was a part of her community for 35 years. Bernice embraced her Catholic faith fully and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She will be cherished in the hearts of all that loved and knew her.
Bernice is survived by her sons, Leslie A. Loy Jr. of Moses Lake, Wash., and Mark S. Loy of Hayden Lake, Idaho; daughter Deborah A. Loy (Linde) of Coeur d’Alene; daughters-in-law Debbie R. Loy of Moses Lake, Wash., and Lisa Loy of Hayden Lake; grandchildren: Dylan Linde, Blake Schioberg (husband, Kjell), Zachary Loy (wife, Kelsey), Devon Loy and Morgan Loy; and great-granddaughter Kyra Schioberg.
Her funeral will held be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, for the rosary and 11 a.m. for the Mass held at St. Pius X Church in Coeur d’Alene.
