OPINION: Be afraid of Islam - here's why

I had to write in response to Kristina Garber Wilfore’s op-ed piece entitled: “Don’t be afraid — County wrong to take a stand against resettlement of Syrian refugees.”

Taqiyya is the concept in Islam whereby it is perfectly acceptable to obscure truth in the furtherance of Islam. Wilfore may not intend it, but it seems like she is practicing taqiyya.

Oh dear, where to start on the propaganda and obfuscations. Let’s start here.

The article states Wilfore is “an expert in gender equality.” Really? What does she make of the practice of female genital mutilation? She lives in the Sunni Islamic country of Turkey. Sunnis’ believe that female genital mutilation is obligatory or preferred depending on which of the four Islamic schools’ pronouncements and interpretations you adhere to.

Keep your daughters well away from Ms. Wilfore.

What about the issue of rape?

Unless a woman can provide four male witnesses after being raped, she has no legal standing in Sunni countries. In fact, women who are raped are often murdered by their families, not only in Muslim countries but in Western countries as well, for the “shame” they bring to the Muslim family in question.

I’m a Christian as are most of you reading this. Imagine your 13-year-old daughter has just been brutalized and raped. Your first thought and response is love and understanding. What a strange religion Islam is where the parents’ first inclination is to grab a gun or knife and kill their utterly innocent 13-year-old daughter.

In addition, women who claim that they have been raped and cannot provide four male witnesses are often imprisoned and/or executed in Muslim countries.

Keep your daughters, wives, sisters, aunts and other women you care about far, far away from Ms. Wilfore.

On refugee screening, Ms. Wilfore goes on to tell us that we are perfectly safe because the Obama administration thoroughly vets these Muslim refugees. The FBI director and the director of Homeland Security have both testified in congressional hearings that there is no way to vet these refugees properly. Are you going to believe the FBI and Homeland Security or Ms. Wilfore’s arguments?

She does, by the way, live by preference in the Muslim dictatorship of Turkey and in her entire article she cannot once bring herself to see that Islam is the cause of these “refugees.”

The Islamic State has proclaimed over and over again that they will infiltrate the refugees coming to Western lands. Two of the perpetrators of the most horrific slaughter of innocent people in Paris last year, where 132 died and 350 some odd were severely injured, were Ms. Wilfore’s “carefully vetted refugees.” The Islamic State claimed responsibility. The Socialist Party President of France, Francois Hollande, who received 93 percent of the French Muslim vote in the last election, has assured the French that Islam is a religion of peace, that there are only a few Muslim lone wolves and that “Islam is compatible with democracy.” Really?

There are 56 Muslim countries, and 56 of them are not democracies. The last to fall is Ms. Wilfore’s shining beacon of Islamic tolerance and progress: Turkey. Recep Erdogan, the new dictator of Turkey, was originally elected (so was Adolf Hitler at least initially), but Mr. Erdogan has eliminated opposition politicians, shut down television stations and arrested any reporter in his country who objects to his new position of dictator. There is no press freedom in Turkey unless of course it is praise for Turkey’s new Reichsfuhrer.

Ms. Wilfore appears to have no problems with Turkey’s new president for life.

Saudi Arabia and Egypt won’t take these refugees and have labeled the Muslim Brotherhood (The Ikhwan) a terrorist organization. The Ikhwan spawned al-Qaida and the Islamic State. Obama refuses to label the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. So, Obama will carefully vet these Muslim infiltrators, oh, sorry “refugees,” but Saudi Arabia and Egypt will not even take one of them.

So, ask yourself if Ms. Wilfore is operating under a powerful delusion or if she lacks knowledge on this subject. Well, it really does not matter whether she suffers from either of these maladies as a reading of Islam’s holy books — the Hadith, Sira and Koran — will suffice to alert us that Islam is not compatible with liberty, democracy, women’s rights, or the general tendency of rational human beings to live free.

I choose to live in a free country.
