Campbell's HR sparks C-Falls in 6-3 victory over Glacier

COLUMBIA FALLS — Morgan Campbell belted a solo shot to left field in the sixth inning to break a 2-all tie and lift Class A Columbia Falls to a 6-3 victory over Class AA Glacier on Monday in softball.

Columbia Falls added three more runs in that inning to the put the game away.

It was Campbell’s second home run of the season.

“Columbia Falls did a nice job of putting the ball in play,” Glacier coach Andy Fors said.

“We threw it around a little bit (five errors) and we need to clean things up. But give credit to Columbia Falls for doing things right and making things happen.’

Columbia Falls outhit Glacier 9-5. Katie Price and Samantha Collins both went 2-for-4 for the Wildkats. Alivia Atlee went 2-for-3 for Glacier.

Glacier is back in action today at Kidsports Complex hosting Missoula Sentinel at 3 p.m. and Missoula Big Sky at 5.

Columbia Falls hosts Frenchtown on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
