An allegedly intoxicated man was seen chipping golf balls across Nucleus Avenue. Columbia Falls Police were unable to locate the golfer at the described location.

A Columbia Falls man reported his vehicle stolen on Sunday. The man told police he was uncertain if his pistol was in the 2002 Ford pickup, but he was certain his keys were not in the vehicle. Police found a recent report of the same pickup having collided with a building last week, followed by a statement from the caller’s children saying he shouldn’t drive because he had entered the early stages of dementia.


A Whitefish driver reported to the Whitefish Police Department that a turkey had been struck by a vehicle and was still suffering in a nearby ditch.

Two Whitefish residents reported a woman for allegedly dragging her child to the car by his ankle. Witnesses told police the child looked to be about 2 or 3 years old. Police spoke with the mother and found that the child was unharmed.

Police received a complaint about a dog left in a car with just one window cracked in the Sunday heat. Police found no dog in the car when they arrived.

A resident brought two stray dogs to the police department on Sunday. One was brown; the other was white and brown.


The Kalispell Police Department received a report of a man exposing himself to employees at a U.S. 93 business. Police picked the man up after he went into a nearby store.

Someone reported a man looking into car windows in downtown Kalispell.

A westside resident reported a group of people had dropped a car off in the alley near the caller’s home. The caller said the vehicle was “all torn up” and possibly stolen. Police checked prior records and found the car was not stolen.

A man came into a Kalispell store and angrily stared at an employee for nearly five minutes, prompting the worker to call police for fear the man wanted to fight.

Someone stole a wallet from a changing room in a Kalispell clothing store.

An intoxicated man was seen hiding behind a trash container and harassing customers at a Kalispell business. Police told the man he was not welcome on the business’s property.

An intoxicated 14-year-old girl was picked up after pounding on a business’s glass doors in east Kalispell. The girl was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and released to her mother.

A man called police describing what he believed to be the abduction of a young girl. Officers followed up on the call to find the caller’s story was inconsistent and lacked information.


The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report that someone had cut the fuel line on a man’s pickup while he was camping.

A woman called the Sheriff’s Office to report three bicyclists, each wearing dark clothing, believing they were high on meth and stealing items from neighborhood residents.
