A man has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from Burger King in Evergreen.
Jeffrey Keith Young, 47, was charged last week with felony theft.
He is accused of stealing more than $4,500 from the fast food establishment.
According to court documents, Young was an employee at the restaurant at the time of the theft, which occurred Oct. 19-21, 2015.
Young reportedly was in charge of making bank deposits every day but allegedly did not do so.
Missing deposits totaled $4,523.39.
Young also was put in charge of paying a lawn service with the restaurant’s petty cash for August, September and October.
Despite notations that $142 had been paid from the fund, the lawn service claimed it had not been paid by Young.
Young will be arraigned before Flathead District Judge David Ortley on April 28. If convicted, Young faces up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
