The Polson teams continue to compete well this season with the Polson girls remaining undefeated as a team.

On Friday and Saturday, both teams played Dillon and Whitefish in Polson.

On Friday, the girls defeated Dillon 4-3. Marlee Congdon, Mollie Lemm, and Tessa Nunlist all won singles matches, and Cassie Carlyle and Shawna Lenz made quick work of their doubles opponents.

On Saturday, the girls took on Dillon again, and once again won 4-3. Lemm and Congdon continued their winning ways, and Hunter Tamcke added a win for the Pirates. Lenz and Carlyle defeated their opponents again as well.

Next the team took on Whitefish in a dual. In a 5-2 win, Lemm, Congdon, Natalee Wheeler, and Shea McGuiness all won singles matches. The Polson number one doubles team took their third win of the weekend.

The Polson boys went 0-3 as a team, but individually, they did well. Quaid Harlan won all three of his matches, including one in singles against a Dillon opponent, and two matches in doubles, both played with teammate Colin Kenney. On Saturday in a 2-5 loss to Whitefish, Harlan and Kenney won, as well as Cadis Chowning and Matt Sitter, who teamed up to win in three sets.

On Thursday, the other two tennis teams in the valley, Ronan and Mission, met up in Ronan for a dual.

On the boys’ side of things Ronan’s Fisher Shima defeated Mission’s Tim Van Elst in the number one singles match. Mission took the next three singles matches, as Andrew Esslinger, Nate Doll, and Warren Castor all defeated their opponents. Castor won his match against Thomas Yellowbird in three sets.

For the girls competition, Ronan’s Breanna Turpin defeated Mission’s Daisie VanderBos in the number one singles match. Again, Mission took the next three matches with wins by Brooklinn Hunt, Alyssa Rith, and Sierra Esslinger.

On Saturday, Mission traveled to Bigfork, where they struggled against both Troy and Bigfork. The only wins of the day came from Andrew Esslinger, who defeated AJ Fauer in a singles match, and by Warren Castor, who defeated Noah Caballero.

On Monday, the Ronan girls took on Columbia Falls and Bigfork. The team was shut out, but the number one doubles team, Hannah Moss and Julia Matkovich, did go to three sets against Bigfork.
