The Ronan golf teams have continued to do well in competition over the last week.
Last Thursday in Bigfork, the Ronan boys’ team took third place as a team. Leading the team was Fisher Niemeyer, who shot an 81 for a sixth place finish, tying with another player. No other Chief placed in the top ten, but Vincent Bird-Webster shot an 87 to finish as the second best for the Chiefs. Tanner Olson shot an 89, Anothony Camel shot a 97, and Matt McGuyer shot a 121.
The Ronan girls also did well, taking second place as a team. The top finisher for the Maidens was Kaitlyn Woirhaye, who shot a 100 to tie for seventh place. Teammate Brooklyn Olson was two shots behind her, with a 102 to tie for ninth place. Tania Ulutoa had a good day, shooting a 106.
This past Tuesday, the team hosted their home meet at the Mission Mountain golf course outside of Ronan. Check next week’s paper for results from that competition.
