Free Smokey Bear event Tuesday at Cd'A Resort

COEUR d'ALENE — There will be a free Smokey Bear open house with family activities on Tuesday from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort's Bay 3 meeting room.

The Smokey Bear Association, in conjunction with the Kootenai County Fire Prevention Coop, will host the event.

There will be a cake decorating contest, Facebook photo booth, poster coloring contest and other activities. Smokey Bear himself will be on hand.

The Smokey Bear Association is a nationwide group of friends, fans and collectors that will hold its national convention in Coeur d'Alene Monday through Wednesday.
