Thousands of cherry blossoms fill the trees at Bigfork Orchards on Wednesday afternoon, April 20. According to orchard owner Fritz Groenke 8 out of 10 blossoms are in bloom. “This is a great time for a drive down the East shore,” said Groenke. “It couldn’t get much better.” Groenke also said the orchards in Polson are about five days ahead of the more northern trees in Bigfork. He predicted that petal fall would be happening over the next week. (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
