Stillwater Christian High School presents 'The Heart of Robin Hood'

The Stillwater Christian High School drama program will present “The Heart of Robin Hood” this weekend, Friday, April 22, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 23, at 4 p.m., at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
A classic tale goes rogue in “The Heart of Robin Hood,” and puts a bold new twist on the story of the world’s most infamous outlaw. In this inventive reimagining, Robin Hood isn’t a beloved vigilante who gives to the poor, he’s just a headstrong thief. It’s up to the brave Maid Marion to protect the kingdom and show this legendary hood how to be a hero.
The cast is comprised of 17 high school students, a stage manager and four student tech crew members.
Jen Stebbins-Han is the director of the SCS drama program.
“I love the creative process,” Stebbins-Han said in a recent blog post. “The kids and I come up with ideas throughout practice, and it’s so fun to watch them progressively take more and more ownership of the play. This year, kids were blocking sword fights on their own before we even reached that point in the script. When you come see the show, you are experiencing a story that is the culmination of all of our imaginations.”
Tickets for students and seniors are $5 and $7 for adults. Tickets are available at Stillwater Christian School and at the door at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
