Troy man seriously injured in rollover near Yaak Hill

A Troy man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident near Yaak Hill Monday afternoon.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Bryce Ford Leejay Leighty, 39, was airlifted to a hospital in Coeur d’Alene for treatment. Leighty was traveling westbound on U.S. 2 in a flatbed, four-door 2002 Dodge pickup truck.

“He went around another vehicle, and lost control,” Ford said. “He rolled into the trees there.”

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Montana Supreme Court has denied the appeal of a Polson man whose public defender found that he had no basis for appealing a 2014 conviction for sexually assaulting an ex-girlfriend.
