A Columbia Falls man was jailed on multiple charges Wednesday for allegedly threatening his father with a fishing spear.

Columbia Falls Police Chief David Perry said that officers were called to Rapids Avenue after Braden Kyle Scott, 21, allegedly threatened to harm his father with a fishing spear.

“His dad was not injured,” Perry said. “It was just a threat.”

Scott did have the fishing spear in hand during the incident, but went peacefully with officers to jail, Perry said.

He’s facing charges of assault with a weapon, partner/family member assault, and obstructing a peace officer.
