MOSES LAKE — Police are investigating an early morning shooting that damaged two houses and a truck in Moses Lake over the weekend.
About 1:10 a.m. on Sunday the Moses Lake Police Department received a report of shots being fired on West Loop Drive. A man told police he was shot at along the 300 block of West Loop Drive, according to police records.
Police arrived at the scene and found bullet holes in a Ford pickup truck and evidence of two house being hit by gunfire. Officers went to a residence in the 300 block of Loop Drive and knocked on the front door. Several spent shell casings were reportedly found near the front door and the residence was secured by officers.
A search warrant was obtained and the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team was mobilized. The warrant was served at the house and a search was conducted, with officers reportedly recovering ammunition and other “firearm related items” in the house. There was nobody inside the residence when it was searched and no arrests were made.
“We do not have an identified suspect at this time. Evidence indicates that up to 11 shots were fired,” MLPD Capt. Dave Sands said. “The evidence will be sent to the lab for analysis to try and identify a suspect. While the alleged victim was in the area, there is no clear evidence he was an intended target.”
The MLPD is investigating the incident. If you have any information contact the MLPD at 509-764-3887.
