Crowley cards 81 to lead Bulldogs at PF Invitational

POST FALLS — Nick Crowley fired a season-low 81 to lead the Bulldog boys, while Nina McDonnell carded a 97 to lead the Bulldog girls on Thursday at the Post Falls Invitational at the Highlands Golf Course.
Some of the scores could have been better with some better shot selection, according to Bulldog head coach Tom Tharp.
“They putted OK, but with these sloping fairways, there were quite a few penalty strokes out-of-bounds,” he said. “Other than that, they played quite well; we’re progressing. We need to know where to hit it in certain holes.”
One of the highlights for the Bulldog girls was Caroline Hawkins reaching the longest Par 5 in two to earn an eagle putt. Even though she ended with a par, it shows the distance game is there.
The Bulldogs now turn their attention to Tuesday’s home meet at The Idaho Club, with action slated to start at 9 a.m., as the North Idaho high school teams get a chance to enjoy the only Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Idaho.
