LIBBY — Bigfork senior Joseph Potkonjak shot a 3-under 69 to claim medalist honors at the Libby Invitational golf tournament on Friday at Cabinet View Golf Course.

He was the lone golfer to break 70.

Potkonjak signed a Frontier Conference letter-of-intent earlier in the week for golf at Carroll College.

Libby’s Ryggs Johnston shot 73 to finish second and teammate Jonny Cielak was third with a 75. Bigfork’s Colton Stodghill, 79, placed fourth.

Bigfork, 341, won the team title.

On the girls side, Jade Ladeaux of Plains shot a 91 to edge Lily Feeback of Libby and Brooklyn Olson of Ronan by four shots for the medalist honor.

Darin Truman of Eureka, 100, was fifth.
