MISSOULA — Emily Getts, Molly Schmit and Harley Molchan were all winners at Nos. 1-2-3 singles, respectively, for Class A Columbia Falls in a girls tennis dual with Class AA Missoula Sentinel on Friday, but the Spartans squeezed out the win 4-3 by sweeping doubles play and winning at No. 4 singles.

Getts, a senior, defeated Matney Stropky 7-5, 6-2 to improve to 7-0 on the season at No. 1.

Schmit won 6-4, 6-3 and Molchan prevailed 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 10-4.

“It was a great trip for us to go against a AA school,” Columbia Falls coach Gene Marcille said.

“Good tennis for everybody.”

Columbia Falls hosts the Whitefish girls on Thursday at 1 p.m. while the Columbia Falls boys play at Whitefish at 3 p.m. Thursday.
