BONNERS FERRY — Saturdays at the Bonners Ferry Farmers Market are busy for the Wilson family. Together, David and Mary-Esther, along with their children, Matthew, Beth and Hannah, run Get Yer Brat On.

Get Yer Brat On offers local brats from Wood’s Meats on freshly baked buns from Super 1. Along with the fixings one could want. The smell of crispy fried onions will lure your senses into trying one of the brats. Another option is a “brat bowl,” which gives the consumer the same experience, but with a bowl and fork. They also offer corn on the cob. Meal deals are also available which include corn, water and a brat.

Accord-ing to David, “We are trying to think of more things to add to the menu, just so people have more options.”

The family business started from friends raving about their cooking, and it continues to grow. In fact, last weekend, the Wilsons were asked to be the vendors at the Kootenai Highlander Games in Libby.
