MOSES LAKE — La familia and attention to detail is what Alvarez Auto Detail is all about.

Manuel and Magdalena Alvarez have been in the detail business for 10 years, the past two in Moses Lake, having set up shop at 1212 Wheeler Rd. two years ago when they moved over from Seattle.

“We really like the beautiful summers here, compared to all the rain in Seattle,” said, Magdalena, who came to the United States from Guadalajara, Mexico. “I like smaller towns. It’s beautiful here. You can see where the food is grown, the fruit, the fields. It’s like a little piece of heaven.”

Alvarez Auto Detail is a family business and everyone is involved. Manuel and Magdalena run the operation, but Manuel Jr (22), Crystal (21), Colleen (17) and Ninely (13) have their responsibilities.

“We take pride in what we do. It’s a family business and it’s good for us to get to work together,” Magdalena explained. “Our main focus is on customer service. I really love it when our customers walk away really happy with the work we do. We want them to feel good about what we did for them and how hard we worked to make it right.”

Alvarez Auto Detail works with dealerships as well as individuals, anything from recreation vehicles to trucks to passenger cars. They do a full detail work, both interior and body work.

“We do a lot of special work inside, shampoo, vacuum, get water out from the windows,” Magdalena said. “We do anything from trucks and small cars to farm trucks and equipment. We know that people want to take care of their vehicles and it’s our job to give them what they want and keep them coming back.”

They do buffing, waxing, rims and motors the full gamut of exterior work to bring it all full circle. They also do boats, campers and other RV’s.

“That’s the thing we like the most is being able to do the work as a family and to put a smile on people’s faces when we show them their car,” Magdalena said.
