Man injured in Moses Lake 2-vehicle collision

MOSES LAKE — One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Moses Lake Saturday.

About 9:25 a.m. Saturday morning Jose Rojas Coria, 30, of Moses Lake, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina south on state Route 17 in Moses Lake and made a left turn onto East Nelson Road. Rojas Coria’s vehicle was reportedly struck on its right side by a northbound SR-17 2000 Ford R10 pickup truck driven by Donnie Hamilton, 39, of Othello. Both vehicles came to a rest in the intersection, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Rojas Coria’s passenger, Teresa Coria Cortez, 57, of Moses Lake, was the only person injured. She was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake via ambulance for treatment. Both vehicles sustained reportable damages.

The patrol reports the cause of the accident is still under investigation and no citations have been issued.
