BONNERS FERRY — The golf season for the Mirror Lake Ladies Golf Club continues to fly by with weekly activities and competitions. In the week of July 20, the game of the day was Three Clubs and a Putter. Karen English was the winner with a low gross score of 51. Evelyn Rae, Mauren Blackmore, Etta Mae Schnuerle and Elaine Morgan all tied with a net score of 34. Anne Bonar and Schnuerle tied for least number of putts with 14. Donna Irons had a birdie on hole three and Bonar and Evelyn Rae each had chip-ins on hole nine.

During the week of July 27, the golfers competed for Ace of the Month, and the winners were Morgan on Tuesday evening and Blackmore on Wednesday morning. The club had a game of the day competition, which was least number of shots combined on holes two and eight. Schnuerle was the winner with a score of 6.

Therese Helmer took low gross with a score of 48, and Blackmore captured low net with 33. Schnuerle stroked a birdie on hole two while Rae chipped in on hole four. Beverly Comegys claimed the least number of putts with 16.

The Mirror Lake Ladies Golf meets every Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at 8 a.m. Participants can play either day or both. New members are always welcome, said Helmer.
