Huckleberry sushi platter wins Huckleberry Bake-Off

Dita Masak and Joey Meyer took first place in youth and adult divisions at the annual Huckleberry Days Bake-Off Contest Saturday during the Huckleberry Days Art Festival.

The seventh annual Huckleberry Days Bake-Off Contest was held Saturday during the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce’s annual Huckleberry Days Arts Festival.

The contest is split into adult and youth divisions. Entries are judged on appearance, texture, taste and originality. All entries must contain huckleberries and be homemade.

The winners were:

Adult Division

1. Joey Meyer, Huckleberry Sushi Platter

2. Deborah Mallams, Huckleberry Cheesecake with Compote

3. Sarah Perez, Lemon Ginger Mouse Cake

Youth Division

1. Dita Masak, Camp House Coffee Cake

2. Grace Stickney, Huckleberry Fluff

3. Finn Stagg, Huckleberry Lemon Cake
