Vernon Harvey, son of Vernon and Leitha Harvey, Upper Pack River Road, and Abdul Samad were married on Jan. 12, 2016, at the Kootenai County Courthouse. On July 31, 2016, they celebrated their vows at their home with family and friends from around the world.

As Vern’s friend, Bayyinah Khadijah Muhammad, wrote; “Awesome contrast showing that love transcends age, culture and religion at a time our world is struggling with this concept. Congratulations. May you always be happy.”
