QUINCY — A 23-year-old man was reportedly shot in the leg at an RV park near Quincy late Thursday night. Two suspects in the shooting are still at large.

About 9:40 p.m. deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a man with a gunshot wound at the Shady Tree RV Park in the 1000 block of state Route 283, near Quincy. Witnesses told deputies the 23-year-old victim in the shooting was approached by two unknown Hispanic man outside of his trailer when they started shooting, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victim received a gunshot wound to the leg and was initially transported to Quincy Valley Hospital. He was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. As of Friday afternoon the man’s condition was not known by the sheriff’s office, but his injury reportedly did not appear to be life-threatening.

The victim told deputies he did not know the two assailants. Deputies believe however that the shooting could possibly be related to an assault that occurred at the RV park earlier in the night. A rifle and handgun were reportedly recovered at the scene.

If you have information on the shooting contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 509-762-1160, or send information to crimetips@grantcountywa.gov. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
