Sharon Lee (Mason) Smith, 76

Sharon Lee (Mason) Smith, 76, passed away Aug. 24, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Coeur d’Alene to Charles Mason and Gladys Naslund. Growing up in Coeur d’Alene, Sharon attended Bryan Grade School and then Coeur d’Alene High School. On May 5, 1959, in Coeur d’Alene, she married the love her life, Kenneth Smith.

Sharon could often be found working in her yard with her flowers or cooking in the kitchen. She was lovingly known as “The Bread Lady” because she always baked extra loaves of bread to share with others. Sharon and Ken were active at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smith of Coeur d’Alene; her daughters, Lori Lynn Ellyson (Greg) and Tracy Renee Robinson (Jim); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Olson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sharon is preceded in death by her son, Steven L. Smith; and her parents, Charles and Gladys Mason.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
