COEUR d'ALENE — A Post Falls woman who was struck by a vehicle while walking Tuesday in Coeur d'Alene has died.

Julia Free, 74, succumbed to her injuries Thursday afternoon at Kootenai Health, according to Idaho State Police.

The crash occurred, according to ISP, when Lester Olson, 62, Coeur d'Alene, was driving a 2013 Kia Soul westbound on Best Avenue around 6:15 p.m.

Free was walking north across Best in an area not designated or marked as a crosswalk when the incident occurred, according to ISP.

Olson was not injured.
