Fat bike demo day is Sunday

Local bike shops Bicycle Sales and Service and Vertical Earth are kicking off the winter season with a fun family bike ride experience.

If you’re curious about what a fat bike feels like on an actual trail, here’s your chance.

Test ride a fat bike from noon to 4 p.m. (just before the Seahawk game) and see what those fat tire snow bikes are capable of. Food will be available, along with a warming area.

The event is being held at the Blue Creek Bay trails, east of Coeur d’Alene. Access is off Interstate 90, exit 22 (Wolf Lodge exit). Turn left and follow East Yellowstone Trail north, with the parking lot roughly a mile and a half, on the right side of the road.
