GTA swaps free bus fare this week for donations to Warming Center

MOSES LAKE — Grant Transit Authority is waiving bus fare this week for riders who are willing to make donations to the Warming Center in Moses Lake.
The offer from GTA started yesterday and will be going through Saturday. The GTA is asking people to make a donation to the Warming Center, which is located in the former Boys and Girls Club building on Third Avenue and opened to those in need Thursday night.
If people are able to donate to any of the items listed below, the GTA stated they will be waiving bus fare.
Needed Warming Center hygiene items include:
• Hand warmers
• Deodorants
• Travel size toothpaste
• Travel size shampoo
• Travel size bars of soap
• Disposable razors
• Chapstick
• Feminine hygiene products
• Toothbrushes
• Toilet paper
• Travel size packs of wipes
The following facility related items are needed at the Warming Center:
• Canned food with pop top lids
• Granola bars
• Blankets
• Adult coats
• New adults socks
• Hot chocolate
• Coffee
• Coffee creamer
• Gallon-size Ziploc bags
• Paper plates, bowls, napkins, cups and plastic silverware
