SPOKANE — Allison Kirby scored 18 points as the Timberlake Tigers held off the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups 54-48 on Friday night.
“I was pretty happy with our defense overall and the girls did a great job of creating some turmoil,” Timberlake coach Matt Miller said. “I was happy with our toughness tonight. It was the most physical game I’ve been a part of and we showed a lot of toughness to compete in a game like that. We’re not the biggest, and this kind of game is not to our advantage, but I was really impressed that we were able to hang in and get the win.”
Keelie Lawler scored 13 points for Timberlake (5-1), which hosts Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday.
