PREP BASKETBALL: T-wolves pull away from Moscow

COEUR d’ALENE — The Lake City firepower got down to business in the second half on Monday night, riding a 16-7 third-quarter advantage for a 48-34 win over the Moscow Bears.
Nina Carlson led the Timberwolves with 15 points, and got help from Keara Simpson — who finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds — and Lauren Rewers (10 points).
“I thought we executed well,” Lake City coach Bryan Kelly said. “I challenged them in the second half to be disciplined and I thought we did a good job with that and overall we played well.”
Chole Teets added six assists and two points for Lake City (5-0), which travels south to face Richland, Wash., on Wednesday at 6:30.

LIBERTY LAKE — Kiera Holmes finished with 17 rebounds and 10 points, Kaylee Prosch added 10 points and seven assists and the Royals topped the Wampus Cats at the HUB Sports Center.
Mary Schlader grabbed 11 rebounds and had six blocks to go with seven points for North Idaho Christian (6-3) which faces Pullman Christian in Mountain Christian League play on Thursday at the HUB.

Perrin Fish added 15 points and Cross Pilgrim had five points, nine rebounds and eight assists for North Idaho Christian (7-1), which faces Pullman Christian on Thursday at 6:30 at the HUB.
