Jeraldyne McNearney Reed, 87

Jeraldyne McNearney Reed, 87, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 29, 2016, as the result of a fall. She was born to Mamie and Percy McNearney on Aug. 29, 1929, in Colville, Wash.

Jerry married Robert Reed on Jan. 8, 1955, and they resided in Clark Fork, Idaho, until Bob’s passing in 1982. Jerry then moved to Spokane and trained to be a kidney dialysis technician at Sacred Heart. She spent eight years caring for patients in that capacity, and later took a job with Elderly Services until she retired.

She was preceded in death by nine siblings, including most recently by her sister, Kelsey Hatcher, and a brother-in-law, Reno Hatcher.

She leaves behind two daughters, Roberta Reed, and Judy (Chuck) Hines; her loving-companion, Jim Sykes; her grandchildren, Michael (Buffi) Godbout, Nick Godbout, Levi Hines, Shelby Hines, and Cassie Hayes; three great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, John Reed of Spokane, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Gloria Moran of Sandpoint, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was known for her generous caring nature, compassion for others, and her stern sensibility.

She spent numerous years caring for her husband Bob, and donated many hours to the Methodist Church and the Clark Fork School Band.

Her passing leaves a large void in the lives of those who knew her, she will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at Coffelt’s Funeral Home, 109 N. Division Ave. Sandpoint, Idaho.

She will be buried at the Clark Fork Cemetery.
