A Lake County man has denied lighting an Arlee trailer on fire containing live ammunition.

Nathan Taylor Wise, whose age and address are unlisted in court documents, pleaded not guilty to felony arson and criminal endangerment in Lake County District Court last week.

According to court documents, Wise allegedly lit a travel trailer parked near a residence at Kaltomee Lane in Arlee on fire after getting into an argument with his girlfriend. After Wise allegedly left the scene, residents attempted to approach the trailer but turned back after ammunition began to explode. Firefighters were eventually able to stifle the dangerous blaze despite the explosions, documents state.

A jury trial was scheduled for March 27, 2017.
