YAKIMA — Zach Phillips scored 30-plus points for the third straight game, however, Moses Lake let a halftime lead get away in a 78-73 loss at Eisenhower.

After leading 33-31 at intermission, the Cadets raced ahead by way of a 26-7 third-quarter run paced by six three-pointers. Eisenhower led by as many 14 points.

Moses Lake crept back in the fourth quarter and got within two points, 72-70, before Eisenhower made its free throws down the stretch.

Cory Kunjara and Ryan Karstetter scored 12 points each.

Ephrata loses a pair on the road

Ephrata struggled on the road defensively, losing to Toppenish and Wapato.

The Wildcats made 18 three-points and blew out the Tigers 83-49.

Cameron Clark scored a team-high 17 points.

Against Wapato, Clark scored 25 points, but Ephrata lost 77-53.

Hunter Jacob led the Wolves with 24 points.

Quincy drops two games

Quincy was routed by Selah 81-31 and lost to Ellensburg 60-47.

Kaeden Murphy led the Jacks against the Bulldogs with 14 points; Daniel Chavez scored 10.

Warden loses in 0T to Kittitas, wins at Cle Elum

JR Delgado's fade-away three-pointer tied the game 57-all, but Kittitas prevailed in overtime 70-64.

Delgado finished with 28 points and Adam Richins had 20 — 15 in the first half.

Warden trailed by as much as 13 points before the game-tying shot. The Coyotes outscored the Cougars 13-7 in overtime, paced by Bailey Gibson's two three-pointers.

High-scoring sophomore Brock Ravet finished with 26 points and five steals. Ravet was guarded by sophomore Zach Richins who scored a career-high 13 points.

Warden rebounded to dispatch Cle Elum 76-58; Delgado scored a game-high 35 points and Adam Richins had 18.

Delgado and Adam Richins combined for 21 points in the first quarter.

More, Delgado eclipsed 1,000 points for his high school career early in the fourth quarter.

Soap Lake 43, Lake Roosevelt 38

COULEE DAM — Jackson Wilks scored 16 points and Soap Lake beat Lake Roosevelt on the road 43-38.

Brayden Winters and Jackson Gray scored seven and six points, respectively.

YAKIMA — Newly-minted starter Morgan Yamane scored 15 points and Moses Lake routed Eisenhower 64-11.

Jessica Olson added 12 points. Moses Lake delivered the knockout early, leading 22-4 after the first quarter and 42-6 at halftime.

Abby Rathbun also reached double digits with 10 points.

Ephrata splits weekend games

Ephrata split two league games over the weekend, beating Toppenish 54-33 and losing to Wapato 51-39.

Katelyn Ostrowski scored a game-high 19 points against the Wildcats; Madison Martin added 12.

Ephrata fell behind 21-13 in the first quarter against Wapato and couldn't rally. Martin led the Tigers with 13 points.

Ellensburg 58, Quincy 30

ELLENSBURG — Quincy trailed 34-14 at halftime and lost to Ellensburg 58-30.

Natalie Thomsen led the Jacks with six points.

Warden splits a pair

Bailey Whitney scored 19 points and Warden beat Kittitas 51-28.

Aubree Skone and Natalie Cole added seven and eight points, respectively.

Against Cle Elum, Whitney once again reached double figures with 14 points, but Warden lost 49-31. Cole notched 11 points.

Lake Roosevelt 62, Soap Lake 35

COULEE DAM — Soap Lake dropped a road game to Bridgeport 62-35.

Samantha White led the Eagles with 14 points; Evelin Lopez had 13 points.

Moses Lake 115, West Valley 55

YAKIMA — Moses Lake won 10 of 12 events and routed West Valley 115-55.

“We came out on the road and established a lot of very competitive times to start the season,” head coach Tony St. Onge said. “Close to state qualifying standards in most events.”

Noah Heaps won the 500 freestyle and 200 individual medley. The Chiefs also won the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.

Big Bend 1-2 in Everett

EVERETT — Big Bend went 1-2 at the Everett Women's Basketball Classic.

The Vikings dropped their first-round game to Linn-Benton 83-63 before a win over Green River in the consolation bracket 69-65.

Big Bend had a chance at third place, but lost in overtime to Southwest Oregon 74-71.

Maryah Tipping and Hailey Garrity scored 17 points each against SW Oregon.

Big Bend cruises past Fairchild AFB

MOSES LAKE — Big Bend cruised past Fairchild AFB for a pair of wins 138-78 and 89-55.
