The Idaho Humanities Council, the nonprofit, state-based partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, recently added two people from the Coeur d’Alene area to the council’s 18-member Board of Directors.
Rocky Owens and Andrea Partington will each serve a three-year term on the board.
Owens is executive director of the Lewis-Clark State College Coeur d’Alene Center. He holds a B.A. in Media and Pacific Rim Studies from LCSC and an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Wales. He is the chair of the North Idaho Consortium of Higher Education and a member of the Idaho Education Network.
Partington is an English teacher and co-chair of the English Department at Lake City High School in Coeur d’Alene. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho and has taught in the Coeur d’Alene School District since 1980.
