The Dixon Senior Center invites the community to attend its December events.
On Thursday, December 15, after the noon meal, the center will have a Christmas party and gift exchange. Participants may bring a gift, under $10, wrapped and marked for a man, woman, or either one. No one is sure what they will end up with, as others can “steal” a gift two times. People are also invited to bring some cookies to trade.
The menu for the rest of the month will be:
n Thursday, Dec. 15 — Christmas Dinner
n Monday, Dec. 19 — Chili, cornbread
n Thursday, Dec. 22 — Polish dogs, mac and cheese
n Monday, Dec. 26 — Salmon
Meals are served at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and noon on Thursday. All ages are welcome, and take-home meals are available. Meals are only $4. Fruits, vegetables, usually home-made bread, and dessert are served with the main dish.
If you are able to share in Christmas with children from Sanders County, a “Giving Tree” with age and gender of several children is available at the center. Just come when the center is open and pick out a star with the information and return a wrapped package by Monday, Dec. 19.
The Dixon Senior Center is located at 106 Third St. in Dixon. For more information, call 406-246-3310.
