JOBS: A public predicament

It’s everywhere. People living in inner city warehouses in coastal California. People living in pole barns in the Inland Northwest.

Heck, Kootenai County even had a commissioner living in a pole barn converted to living space recently. Modern day nativity scene digs? What gives?!

This is one more way the dwindling private sector middle-class is coping with their living standards dropping.

Meanwhile, liberals or conservatives who work for a government or public utility or a government contractor, you make significantly more money and shouldn’t need such manger-scene accommodations.

Need a raise? A fat pension that pays more than your job paid you? No problem. Taxpayers and utility ratepayers will cover it.

Don’t want to pay taxes on that pension? No problem. Where does it hurt? Where there’s a will, there’s a tax avoiding disability way!

No gub-mint job? Too bad. Live in a pole barn or a warehouse then.

Could it be that over-bloated public pay and pension practices is the real cause of inequality and pushing housing and utility costs into the stratosphere? What else could it be?

Values go up… so property taxes do too. Isn’t that nice for the publicly overpaid. Fleeced taxpayers and ratepayers need to be heard from.
