ELECTION: Count this
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 8 years, 12 months AGO
In response to Mr. Gressler’s letter on Dec 7. I want to say first of all that I did not read the entire liberal, hateful letter. Halfway through it I became ill and thought I might puke. Your hateful comments about Trump and his family were disgusting and unfounded. You have a right to express your opinion, but to think the electoral college is wrong and the presidency should be based on the popular vote is ignorant. Here are a few facts that were reported in the press last week, which I hope you read.
California has 2.4 million undocumented immigrants. You may not believe it but many of those illegals have driver’s licenses, employment and SS cards that make them appear to be legal and they do register to vote. I know because I lived there and knew of some of these people.
Hillary Clinton (your darling) won California by 4.2 million votes more than Trump. Clinton is ahead of Trump in the popular votes by approximately 2.5 million nationwide, which makes you think she should have won. If you took away California’s votes, Trump would be ahead of her by 1.7 million votes nationwide.
It seems to me, Mr. Gressler, you think that liberal California voters (including illegals) should go to the polls on election day and the rest of us could just stay home and let California decide on our POTUS. The government and residents of California would agree with you, so it seems to me that you should consider a move to California where I am sure you would be welcomed with open arms. You would fit in with those people down there beautifully and from the letters I have read of yours, I believe you would be much happier there.
