Mr. Adler’s criticism, in the Dec. 15 edition of the Coeur d’Alene Press, of Donald Trump’s ability to bypass the media and take his message directly to the people and “evade the press” is absolutely preposterous. His claim that by going around what passes for a “free press” in this country, President-elect Trump is “mocking the foundational values of the republic.” Really?

Here’s another view. Had Trump relied on the liberal press to get his word out, we’d be installing Clinton’s band of criminals rather than the brilliant cabinet being formed as we speak. We have a chance again for greatness, not because of the press but in spite of it.

Mr. Adler’s assertion assumes that we the people are so ignorant and uninformed that we can’t possibly understand what Trump, or any candidate is saying to us unless we first have that message “deciphered” for us by the so-called “free press.” The reverse is true… The mass media distorts and misinforms on everything in furtherance of its left wing agenda.

Trump is exactly right, we need to hear his unadulterated message and we HAVE heard it which is why he won this election in spite of the power the media wields as they push every liberal cause from abortion to maintaining liberal power in government, to erasing our borders and welcoming in thousands of people who mean to destroy us. With a fair and legitimate mass media those things would not be happening. Mr. Trump got elected specifically by brilliantly getting his message out no matter what the left wing did/does to stop him. THAT’S WISDOM Mr. Adler!

Mr. Adler complains about Trump not having a press conference! WHAT? Donald Trump has been more accessible to the media than any politician in history. Clinton is the one who’s been in hiding, but not a peep from Mr. Adler about her constant evasion. Come on Mr. Adler. You claim to be “non-partisan,” but that just sounds like more left wing whining after being handed a huge election day loss. Why are you silent as regards the current attempts to overturn the will of the people by the liberal Democrats attempting to hijack the Electoral College results, with the help of the disgusting media? THAT’S what you should be complaining about, not Trump’s ability to reach the people directly.

This time the American people figured it out despite the massive efforts by the mass media to sabotage the next president of the United States. And those efforts continue to this day.

And I’ll add that we here in Coeur d’Alene are blessed in that our paper is at least willing to publish and air both sides. That is not true in the main population centers of this country, which to me explains how liberalism has infected so many and brought us to the brink of complete and total collapse.

The Founders’ dream is in extreme jeopardy. They would never have defended what passes for the “free press” in 2016! NOT IN A FIT!
