Three county officials were sworn in on Monday, sparking the dawn of a new era for the County Commissioners and District Court.

Judge James Wheelis swore in Jerry Bennett, the new Lincoln County Commissioner for the Troy District, who will fill the seat of retiring Greg Larson.

Tricia Brooks was also sworn in by Wheelis, as the new Clerk of District Court. She has already taken over the duties of retired clerk Susan Farmer.

Matt Cuffe, who was also sworn in, will take the seat of the 19th Judicial District Judge Wheelis.
