Anthel Jean Heinemeyer, 91

Jean was born April 26, 1925, in Clarkston, Wash., to Samuel Otis and “Eva” Effie Leona (Fordyce) Bly. Jean passed in her sleep on Dec. 16, 2016, at the age of 91 at Creekside Inn where she had been residing for 14 months. Jean attended grade school in Lewiston, Orofino, and surrounding areas. She then attended Lewiston High School. Growing up, she enjoyed the outdoors and especially riding horses.
After her schooling was completed she moved away from home and worked for a few years at the C.O.D. Laundry in Lewiston. During this time, she met a man she later married who had just been discharged from the Navy. On Aug. 22, 1947, she married Charles (Chuck) Heinemeyer in Lewiston, Idaho. They lived there for a short time and then decided to try a new location and ended up in Coeur d’Alene where they made their lifetime home. Their first child, Skip, was born on Aug. 23, 1948, and their second child, Randy, was born on Dec. 31, 1949. Over the years a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren spent lots of time with Jean and Chuck in their home.
Jean made homemaking a career and enjoyed cooking and baking. Her hobbies included doll collecting, sewing and quilting.
Jean is survived by her husband, Chuck, currently at Ivy Court in Coeur d’Alene; sons Skip (Cheryl) of Richland, Wash., and Randy of Coeur d’Alene; and grandchildren are DyAnne Debbie Heinemeyer, Randy Lee Heinemeyer Jr., Kristen Diane Billetdeaux, Jeanette, Keith, Jesie Heinemeyer, Andrea Heinemeyer, Raelynn Jones, Sabestian Carter, Jackie Caiger, Peyton Joy Caiger, Aiden Wilkes and Carter Wilkes.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A graveside service will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens following the service, with Yates Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
