Quincy woman named as victim in homicide near George

GEORGE — A woman from Quincy has been identified as the person who was found dead alongside a road near George last week.
Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison identified the victim as Jill M. Sundberg, 31, of Quincy. Sundberg’s body was located about 1.5 miles west of Silica Road on the Old Vantage Highway, near George, about 12:25 p.m. Dec. 22. Morrison determined the cause of Sundberg’s death to be gunshot wounds. He ruled the manner of Sundberg’s death is homicide.
Detectives with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office are asking anyone with information about Sundberg and her recent activities to come forward. “Please do not post tips or information on social media. If we can see the information, so can possible suspects,” stated the sheriff’s office on Tuesday.
