MOSES LAKE — Two Moses Lake men have been arrested in connection with burglaries at storage units in Moses Lake.

On Sunday, the Moses Lake Police Department received reports of burglaries at storage units in the 1100 block and 1500 blocks of West Broadway Avenue. MLPD officers found evidence at the both of the scenes, including footprints and tire tracks, that indicated the burglaries were committed by the same suspects, according to the MLPD on Wednesday.

Police identified Anthony “TJ” Johnson, 29, of Moses Lake, as a possible suspect in the burglaries and he was reportedly taken into custody about 2 p.m. at a home in the 9600 block of Road H. 1 Northeast. Police reportedly recovered a large amount of stolen property at the location, as well as a truck that is suspected to have been used during the burglaries.

Johnson was booked into the Grant County Jail for suspicion of five counts of second-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree theft and unlawful possession of a firearm. A second suspect, identified as Joseph Hunter, 37, of Moses Lake, was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of five counts of second-degree burglary, six counts of second-degree theft, six counts of third-degree malicious mischief and possession of heroin, according to jail intake records.
