A woman has been arrested for allegedly pretending to be a health-care provider and trying to get prescription drugs to sell.
Cissy Sindt, 41, has been charged with felony fraudulently obtaining dangerous drugs.
According to court documents, a Columbia Falls Police officer responded to Smith Foods on Dec. 17, after a pharmacist reported that a woman had called saying she was from North Valley Professional Center, ordering a prescription for 10 milligrams of Narco, a painkiller, for Sindt. The pharmacist called the center to confirm the prescription, and an office worker advised that no one had ordered a prescription for Sindt.
Someone claiming to be Sindt allegedly called a short time later, asking if the prescription was ready.
Sindt was arrested at the pharmacy on existing warrants. Sindt allegedly admitted to impersonating a health-care worker.
She is set to be arraigned on Jan. 5.
She will also be arraigned on a felony forgery charge filed earlier this year. In that case Sindt is accused of writing 12 checks from the Mountain Acres Homeowner Association without permission between Dec. 3, 2015 and April 26.
Checks were allegedly made out to Glacier Center and staff identified Sindt as the one who was writing them. Other checks were allegedly written to Sindt.
