Name calling and personal attacks seem to be on the rise since Orange Hitler, Field Marshal Flynn and Klansman Bannon are ready to take office. I love how when I write a letter, I state facts; however, Republicans seem to take after their “leader” and personally attack me for my right to state my opinion.

Let’s start with Shirley Plumlee. She says that she couldn’t even finish my letter because it made her so sick she wanted to puke. Well guess what, Shirley? now you know what half the country felt on Nov. 9, and trust me, they were not all Democrats. As for you Republicans and your beloved Rush Limbaugh and his California-not-voting nonsense, we can play this game all day. What if Texas or Utah, hell, the whole South or Russia, didn’t vote? About moving to California, I was there and I was keeping the “squids” safe at Treasure Island Navy Base, San Francisco, from 1971-1972.

Now for Lee Gibson (USN). As a Marine Corp. Vietnam veteran, I just love to irritate you “Squids.” As far as putting your “pants” on backward, I heard you “Squids” did a lot of that on those long tours of duties on your “boats.” (I know it’s ships, but boats are more irritating.) Also, do not feel sorry for me, feel sorry for the ones who fell for Trump’s big scam. Wait ‘til gas goes up to $5 a gallon with all of the billionaires and oil people in Trump’s cabinet. The only ones I trust are the Marine Corp. generals. So much for “draining the swamp.”

I’m weary of fellow Democrats afraid of retaliation who don’t write a Letter to the Editor when you Republicans get so carried away with your nonsense. I’m tired of wasting my time with you Republicans WHO refuse to talk realistically about how Trump is going to destroy this country, especially the new “cold war” he wants. My next letter will be an “I told you so” when your great Republican “savior” actually gets into office and he and his cronies get richer and the promises he made while campaigning don’t come to pass and actually leave the rest of us hanging on mightily to what we have. Shades of pre-2008!
