Bill Foley, board chairman of Fidelity National Financial and majority owner of Whitefish Mountain Resort, is selling his Whitefish Lake home and property for $26.7 million.

The 21-acre tract at 365 Delrey Road, which includes the 11,498-square-foot main home, three guest cabins and a day cabin at the north end of Whitefish Lake, are listed with Glacier Sotheby’s International Realty. Ross Pickert is the listing agent. Glacier Sotheby’s website calls it “a rare opportunity to own one of Whitefish Lake’s premier estates.”

Built in 2006, the home is surrounded by wooded acreage and offers nearly one-quarter mile of lakeshore. It features hand-hewn timbers, five fireplaces, native stone patios, with “significant entertainment options” that include a billiards room, home theater, fitness room and wine room.

Foley, 71, told the Wall Street Journal this week that he is selling the property because he splits most of his time between his Montana cattle ranch near Deer Lodge and his business ventures in Las Vegas. Foley is the lead investor in the NHL’s newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, which will launch their inaugural season in 2017. The Wall Street Journal also reported Foley plans to keep a vacation home and some property in Whitefish.

The billionaire has been a part-time Whitefish resident since 2000. He purchased a large block of Winter Sports Inc. stock in 2004 and since then has become the largest stockholder.

In 2007 Foley formed the Glacier Restaurant Group, a company that acquired MacKenzie River Pizza Co., Mambo Italiano (now Ciao Mambo), Craggy Range Bar and Grill and the Cornerhouse Grill (now Latitude 48). It also now owns Max & Erma’s, a Midwest chain that was acquired earlier this year with 70 locations and about 1,700 employees.

Foley owns Glacier Jet Center at Glacier Park International Airport, a facility that provides space and services for private aircraft.
