The Lady Loggers fought back and forth with the Maidens of Ronan, but ultimately fell to the visitors, 53-50.

Ronan held the lead after the first two quarters, taking a 25-18 lead into the locker room at the half. The Lady Loggers fought their way back in the second half, outscoring the Ronan girls 18-15 in the third quarter and 14-13 in the fourth. The rally was not enough to propel them to victory, however, and the Maidens escaped Libby with a win.

“We really came out and played toe-to-toe with the first place team from the 6B District,” head coach Jim May said. “We had several opportunities to maintain our lead in the third quarter and even get it back late in the game.  We really gave them fits at times, but a lapse here and there kept us from getting control of this game. It was a good effort after Friday’s performance.”

Shannon Reny led the Lady Loggers with 27 points and 20 rebounds on the night. Abby Ennenga added eight points and 14 boards.
